HAVANA,(UPI) -- Cuban President Fidel Castro blasted U.S. officials for displaying illuminated massages on its mission building in Havana, Granma reported Monday.

"Everyone has the right to free thought," read one the messages displayed along the building. Others included quotes from the universal declaration of human rights.

Castro said the United States was trying to provoke his administration and break off all ties with Cuba.

In a three-hour televised address, the Cuban leader said the United States had no business talking about human rights.
