Salmon Arm is a city in the interior of the Canadian province of British Columbia; and has a moderate climate, with four distinct seasons.
Salmon Arm became a city on May 15, 2005, its 100th birthday of incorporation. It is the seat of the Columbia-Shuswap Regional District.
Salmon Arm is located on the shores of Shuswap Lake, where the Salmon River empties into the Salmon Arm reach of the Shuswap Lake.
The Shuswap Lake is one of the most popular recreational destinations in BC. The 400+ kms of shoreline contains 22 Provincial Parks and offers unlimited water related recreational opportunities.
Salmon Arm and area is a year-round tourist destination, with many beaches, with camping facilities and house boat rentals. The surrounding mountains provide beautiful trails for xcountry skiing, snowmobiling, mountain biking and hiking.
Thus, any entries of a personal nature, such as names, situations or events that may seem similar to reality etc., either past or present must be purely coincidental.
