Olmert Approves Inclusion of Two Illegal Settlements Inside Apartheid Wall And Create Two Trapped Cantons of 20, 000 Palestinians

JERUSALEM, Palestine, January 31,2007 (IPC+ Agencies) - -Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert approved to move the route of the Apartheid Wall 5 kilometer deep inside the West Bank to include illegally- built Jewish settlements Nili and Modi'in Ilit.
The new rout of the Wall will create two Palestinian enclaves containing about 20,000.

The new route on behalf of the tow illegal settlements , which have have some 1,500 settlers will lengthen the apartheid wall by about 12 kilometers.

The Israeli sources reported that if the cabinet approves Olmert's decision, it will be the first time part of the apartheid wall has been moved eastward towards the green line , separating West bank and Israel.

It is important to mention that the two illegally built settlement Nili and Na'aleh were illegally built on the Palestinian owned lands by the end of 80s, 5Km. far away of the Green Line . Originally, they were supposed to be surrounded by a "double wall" - one along the Green Line and one to their east - that would have trapped five Palestinian villages among were Naalin, Budrus and Qebyia, with some 17,000 residents in canton between them.

Israeli security sources said that Ehud Olmert approved in November 2006 in principle the new route of the apartheid wall and he send a field team of security personnel to draw a proposal to be approved by the cabinet.

Besides the Wall, it is approved to pave a new road instead of "446" road to connect Modi'in Ilit, Nili and Na'aleh with the settlement of Ofarim. Palestinians will not be permitted access to this road, but two tunnels will be built under it to allow Palestinian traffic to transverse it.

In two lots of the streets nearby Nilin and Sheqba villages , two crossings will be built beneath the road for the Palestinian access that means 17,000 Palestinians will be trapped in a canton trapped between the Apartheid Wall and Green line westward and the new road and new sections of the wall eastward.

Another canton will be established nearby Deir Qedees village , which housing 20,000 residents. It will be encircled by the wall from three directions.
