Special Advisor on the Middle East and Central Asia Travels to Afghanistan and Pakistan

Wajid Khan, the Prime Minister’s Special Advisor on the Middle East and Central Asia, will visit Afghanistan and Pakistan from March 11 to 14, 2007.
While in Afghanistan, Mr. Khan will meet with senior government officials, senior representatives of the international community, major non-governmental organizations, and Canadian diplomatic, development and military personnel.
In Pakistan, he will meet with political leaders, parliamentarians and senior government officials to discuss issues concerning regional security and democratic governance.
