Mayes interested in army camp’s future

Okanagan-Shuswap MP Colin Mayes is willing to push the federal government to maintain the Vernon Army Camp.

The MP says he asked for a recent meeting with city council to discuss the matter.

“I was wanting to reassure the mayor that I’m willing to work on behalf of the community on that property,” he said.

“I wanted to know what their priorities are with the camp.”
